Megan is preparing them for the Masers of Beauty three-day event. There will be several different events, all taking place at the Hilton Hotel in Manhattan. The first day of the event is with Nick Arrojo, cosmetology TV personality, and two-time Platform Artists of the Year. Nick will be touching on four main topics: hair cutting with razors and scissors, hair coloring, styling and finishing, and makeup artistry. Megan says that this will be a hands on event, which is certainly to the benefit of the students. Nick will also be bringing his Master Stylists who will help in the students' learning process. Each student will receive supplies such as a mannequin head, clips, rolls, brushes, and more. The student will need to bring some of their own materials like shears or other tools that each particular student is comfortable using. Each student will receive a certificate after passing the program. This certificate will help the students in their search for jobs. Having this in one's portfolio will make him or her stand out from the crowd of other applicants who are trying to land a job at a salon. As Megan says, it makes you more marketable.
